G4S headquarters are an energy efficient office building with a low construction budget that contains rooms for offices, sports facilities, a restaurant with a rooftop terrace, a public area for providing services, spaces for rent, a cash centre and other rooms equipped with specific technology necessary for a company providing security services. The nest-like shell of the building is made of larchwood strips. The shell has a passive cooling function and it also creates a private buffer zone between the people inside the building and people passing it on the street. The closer one gets to the building, the less one can see inside, with everything in the building securely hidden from anybody looking in directly from the outside.
